Released between
Obsession, which introduced him to the public, and the electrifying live album
Adrénaline,
À l’ombre de l’ange explores themes beloved by bad boys with tender hearts: nights of libation ("Le Cœur au vif"), misdemeanors ("Motel 117"), disappointed love ("On commence à s’quitter"), and celebrations of sex ("Tendre Fesse") are all on the program. The singer wrote the majority of the lyrics and music, in collaboration with his loyal right-hand man, the producer, arranger, musician, and backing vocalist Stéphane Dufour, and with lyricist Roger Tabra. Often compared to the late Gerry Boulet, leader of the group Offenbach, Lapointe excels, like him, at shouting his joys and sorrows loud and clear, moving easily from heavy rock to ballads. The superb "Mon ange," for example, serves as a reminder that, rocker though he may be, the brooding young man with the raspy voice remains a passionate lover. --
Julie Sergent

UPC: 619061113224

EAN: 0619061113224

Languages: French

Binding: Audio CD

Item Condition: UsedVeryGood

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0030/9765/7390/products/31JPZQ0FK6L_297e6790-27b0-4181-a691-e14ee59dd82a.jpg?v=1634138247
