Faced with impatient musicians and the end of a romantic relationship, Dédé vacillated between creative moments and periods of anguish. The Saguenay native revisited his past: his arrival in Montreal in 1984, his film studies with his friend Éric Henry, meeting French harmonicist Pat Esposito, co-founder of Les Colocs, the band's festive concerts, the bitterness of the 1995 referendum defeat, etc. Despite the great success of \"Dehors Novembre,\" Dédé fell into a deep depression. On May 8, 2000, he took his own life in his Montreal apartment.
