Another night of preparation for the senseless attacks to which humanity is currently being subjected.\nThe powerful poetry of Richard Desjardins meets the eclectic imaginary vision of producer Yves Desrosiers, with the support of accomplished artists such as Normand Guilbeault (double bass), Claude Fradette (guitars), Francis Covan (violin and accordion) and Marie-Soleil Bélanger (violin).\n\n\nAmazon.ca\n\n\nSince\nTu m’aimes-tu?, a landmark album of French-language song from the 90s, Richard Desjardins has slowly built, with the rhythm of the nature that inhabits all of his work, a poetic and brutal, tender and cruel, sentimental and socially engaged, sensual and rugged universe.\n Produced by Yves Desrosiers (Volodia), Kanasuta offers 14 songs that celebrate nature, friendship (\"Que sont devenus mes amis\"), enduring love (\"Jenny\"), and skewers the scoundrels (\"Les Veuves\") and the snobs (\"Le Gala\") with that unique tone where irony competes with lyricism. A spokesperson for the exploited, the working poor, and the excluded, Desjardins also sings of love like no other, thereby reaching an extremely varied audience.\n To dress his chiseled lyrics, Desjardins has concocted country-folk melodies carried by a variety of instruments (double bass, violin, accordion, banjo, electric, classical, and acoustic guitar, etc.) that never drown out the clarity of his message.
