The composer from Brest does not venture into convoluted or scholarly structures, but rather into a musicality that is both light and fragile ("La Rupture"). His third album,
Le Phare, exhales scents of sea spray from afar. With notes that invite travel ("L'Arrivée sur l'île", "Le Fromveur"), toward those island moors where authenticity rhymes with sobriety. Exiled on the island of Ushant, the artist composed most of these tracks as if they were stage scenes. A palette of colorful and luminous sounds, through which Tiersen asserts his regionalist fiber. Sumptuous ballads halfway between Irish folklore and Polish waltz ("La Dispute") where the violin marries the harpsichord, the accordion, the mandolin. Utterly poetic.
--Valérie Dupouy

UPC: 724384540227

EAN: 0724384540227

Languages: French

Binding: Audio CD

Item Condition: UsedVeryGood
