As musical director of the record label Audiojive—a sort of electronic and experimental branch of Audiogram—Lemieux delivers a debut album that bears witness to a surprising sonic imagination.
A great experimenter deeply influenced by pop culture, Lemieux demonstrates an obvious sense of melody and musical structure, navigating primarily in the realm of electro-rock. While the 14 tracks on Superstar.System (13 of which are in English) reveal neither a great lyricist nor a powerhouse voice, they create a unique musical universe within the Quebec music scene: an urban galaxy woven with Anglo-Saxon influences, from Moby to Bowie, by way of U2 and the New Wave movement. A soaring album, imbued with a certain lightness and clearly marked by pleasure and inventiveness. --Pascale Millot

UPC: 776693260129

EAN: 0776693260129

Languages: English

Binding: Audio CD

Item Condition: UsedVeryGood
