Born into a musical family, one fine day he decided to head in a somewhat iconoclastic direction. Reinterpreting classical pieces with his violin, arranged for soloist and variety orchestra. His crazy gamble proved to be a success. He sells millions of records, and can boast of making stadiums of sixty thousand people waltz all over Europe. With this album, Valses, containing the famous Shostakovich waltz, he exploded in France. --Marc Aigneaux
