Nearly 3 years after the release of their last album Scandales et bonne humeur, the Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project (QRBP) returns in full force with their brand-new album Royale Réguine!

Fans who enjoyed live performances of the songs Pantera Artic Cat Triple 800, La meute, T’as tu tué?, Vieux Gagné, Royal Roman Casino, and Queue vache queue will be delighted to find these tracks and much more on this generous new work that offers over an hour of music. This opus, which contains 13 original tracks, once again presents us with songs that are both intelligent and unhinged, characterized by the breakneck lyrical delivery of JP "le Pad" Tremblay, who speaks to us about subjects very familiar to him: excess, life in the fast lane, wild adventures around the world, as well as his life in a Saguenay village where nature and machines reign supreme.

Although folk and bluegrass remain important musical colors on the album, QRBP still leads us down paths with diverse influences, drawing as much from gypsy music with the track West Bengal as from funk with J’chie des arcs-en-ciel, and they even give a nod to their Chinese origins with the song Pengyoumen wansui - 朋友们万岁, which is directly inspired by the Uyghur flavors of northwestern China.

The essential punk energy is also present on this album, reminding us that QRBP, an independent band, remains in touch with its roots. The lineup found on this album is the same one that was on stage this summer for the Réguine Tour. QRBP is therefore composed today of four musicians from Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean: Jean-Philippe Tremblay, François Gaudreault, Nicolas Laflamme, and Madeleine Bouchard.
