Details: Product Description Tiersen, Yann Amazon.ca While the film by the singular Jean-Pierre Jeunet was a smash hit at the box office, becoming a true cult classic in just a few weeks, the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen continues to make life sweeter for those who let themselves be caught in its nets of tender melancholy. A little gem, as has been said over and over, which, against a backdrop of accordion, chimes, and musette waltzes, strikes you like the encounter of a great love and gently accompanies you from morning to night and from night to morning. Composed of some of the best pieces by the Breton artist and eight unreleased tracks, Amélie, at once joyfully retro and surprisingly current, belongs in the section for timeless classics, because it is terribly true. -- Pascale Millot
