The Rocket is a film set in 2008, but its dramatic structure allows for a revisit of landmark moments in the history of the Montreal Canadiens hockey club since its inception. William, 17, is the star player on his hockey team. However, he is going through a rough patch, demotivated by his coach's attitude, who criticizes his lack of team spirit. He meets 10-year-old Daniel, who is awaiting a kidney transplant. His determination and courage impress the entire staff at Sainte-Justine Hospital, where he is being treated. His love for hockey inspires a desire to live that will mark the intersection of these two young men's destinies.
