Hip talk-radio host and journalist Mingus (Chris Rock) and his French photographer girlfriend, Marion (Julie Delpy), live cozily in New York with their cat and two young children from previous relationships. When Marion's jolly father, her oversexed sister, and her sister's lewd boyfriend unceremoniously descend upon them for an overseas visit, it initiates two unforgettable days of family mayhem. How will the couple fare. . . when the French come to New York?

Marion (Julie Delpy) is now settled in New York, where she lives with Mingus (Chris Rock), a radio journalist, their two children from previous relationships, and a cat. The couple is very much in love! Marion is still a photographer and is preparing her exhibition. Her father, her sister, and her sister's boyfriend (who is actually Marion's ex and was not expected at all) arrive in New York for the opening. The clash of cultures, but above all the uninhibited personalities of the three visitors, will set off a real firework display!
