Details: Arno isn't messing around! It’s true that listening to these guitars screaming to the sound of a rather furious voice, one has every reason to think that Arno isn't joking with his A poil commercial. A great rant that sums itself up in thirteen war cries. With some hysterically supercharged pop ("Mercy"), sometimes lunar ("Dans mon lit"), and alternating with zany rock ("European Cowboy"). Because with Arno, nothing is embryonic and everything is cleverly orchestrated. Powerful and edgy perhaps, but always jubilant. From time to time, incursions of oriental notes ("Oh la la la!") and blues ("Mon anniversaire") come to soften the tumult of the devastating percussion. The themes addressed are often ironic ("Fantastique", "Tatouages du passé") but never trivial. A way for the artist to create a diversion and lay his heart... bare. --Valérie Dupouy
