Details: Product Description Superbus Amazon.ca France was missing an equivalent to California punk, something like No Doubt: that is now a thing of the past thanks to Superbus. It's hard to imagine a more "fun" band around here, one that doesn't hesitate to draw influences from ska or to cover Madonna's "Into The Groove." As energetic as Pleymo, albeit in a different genre, the band, led by singer (and songwriter) Jennifer Ayache, showcases exciting melodic expertise throughout the breezy Aéromusical. Unbridled and not without a sense of humor, Superbus strings together effective songs with disconcerting ease. Whether ballads ("À travers toi," eloquent) or walls of guitars ("Tchi-Cum Bah"), the tone asserts itself, unpretentiously, like a fountain of youth. --Hervé Comte
