Details: It is under the seal of eclecticism that this volume of the Ballades en balade collection dedicated to Georges Moustaki was conceived. Exoticism, commitment, and romanticism are the three words that perhaps best define the life and work of this highly talented singer-songwriter. In any case, if one judges by the 21 tracks of this fourth volume, entitled Voyages et rencontres, where we find "La Mer m'a donné," "Gaspard," "Pornographe," "J'ai vu des rois serviles," or even "Bahia." A special mention, also, for "La Marche de Sacco et Vanzetti," a song created by Joan Baez under the title "Here's To You," which is none other than the music from Giuliano Montaldo's film retracing the story of the two Italian trade unionists who emigrated to the United States. -- Philippe Margotin
