Vast: this is an adjective that perfectly describes the music of the band Bellflower, founded and masterfully led by singer-songwriter Em Pompa. Three years after the release of the album The Season Spell, Bellflower offers on Upside Down indie pop tinged with electro, prog, and dreamy jazz, where sultry melodies soar over atmospherically majestic arrangements. The grand, cinematic music of Bellflower offers a unique universe with vivid soundscapes, navigating between strength and softness, gravity and weightlessness. It should be noted that the cover art is the work of renowned visual artist Alexandra Levasseur.

In addition to Em Pompa (vocals, guitar), Bellflower is composed of 7 accomplished musicians active on the Montreal music scene: William Côté – drums, vocals, guitar (Trio Jérôme Beaulieu – Misc, Les Louanges), Jérôme Beaulieu – piano, synthesizers (Misc, Ivy), Jérémi Roy – bass, synth bass (Sarah Toussaint-Léveillée, Chienvoler), Félix Petit – saxophone (FELP, Les Louanges, Hubert Lenoir), Kathryn Samman – vocals, percussion (Little Misty), Nicolas Boulay – trumpet, flugelhorn (Dawn Tyler-Watson, Les Cowboys Fringuants), Alexandre Dodier – saxophones, clarinet, flute (SHPIK). Coming from different musical backgrounds, the musicians bring their respective experience and creative energy to give birth to rich music with a unique sound and singular arrangements.
