BIOGRAPHY
Claude Cormier is an artist originally from the Magdalen Islands who currently lives in Rimouski, QC. The musical style of Claude Cormier's album "Garde ton accent" compares to that of the legendary group "Suroît" as well as "Great Big Sea," with an Irish folk sound. After three years of acoustic tours across the country, Claude Cormier returns to his roots and presents his latest album: Garde ton accent.
It is an album with an Irish folk sound and the unique language of the Islands. Claude Cormier has surrounded himself with musicians from the group Vishten, who are known for their lively fiddle, banjo, accordion, percussion, and guitar sound, which creates the warm and dynamic atmosphere of the Acadians of the Islands. A festive event with Irish folk flavors, featuring the colorful poetry and unique language of the Magdalen Islands.
