It is difficult to summarize the first twenty years of Daniel Boucher's career on a single album. To define the wild and loose journey of the singer-songwriter. To open the door to what comes next, as well.

We had to choose.

So we went with the big hits.
Most of the big hits, in fact.

Because in Daniel Boucher's case, the term "big hit" is open to all kinds of interpretations.

But we made a first, heartbreaking cut.

Daniel likes his songs long.
The result, for a vinyl record, was tight.
We had to cut, once again.

Here, then, is our selection of the cream of the crop… In our very humble opinion.

An imperfect selection, because it is incomplete.
A partial selection.
Debatable.
Biased.
Owned.

For the first time in a physical format in ages, the song Chez nous.

And a new one, Les gâteaux de fête, the one that best represents the Daniel of 2019, a fulfilled dad, a musician increasingly in tune with himself, perpetually learning, and less and less inclined toward commercial compromises...

Which, in his case, is saying a lot.

This is how he appears to us on the cover, wearing the same expression, both in 1999 and 2019.
