Details: Product Description The world music act's 1998 album. Amazon.ca Whether at the supermarket or the local corner store, the Toulouse-based group Zebda has been running at full speed since their famous hit "Tomber la chemise" (Best Song by the Best Group at the 2000 Victoires de la Musique awards). These well-deserved honors capped off years of effort and work both on stage (they have performed hundreds of concerts) and in the field (the group works in underprivileged neighborhoods and created their own association, Vitécri). Their third album, Essence ordinaire, touches on everything they fight for: exclusion ("Tombés des nues"), racism ("Tout semble si"), and intolerance ("On est chez nous"). Seven guys in the wind of the Autan, who never mince their words and who denounce injustice and abuse. From the raggamuffin of "Je crois que ça va pas être possible" (featuring the voiceover of Dieudonné) to the rap-funk-raï of "Y'a pas d'arrangement," the album is, above all, synonymous with good humor. --Valérie Dupouy
