Details: Amazon.ca After signing with major label Geffen, Sonic Youth found themselves in a big studio with considerable resources. At the time, a few shocked purists cried betrayal, but in hindsight, Goo appears above all as one of the most accomplished and perhaps most accessible albums by the New York noise rockers. "Dirty Boots", "Kool Thing" (featuring Chuck D of Public Enemy), and "Tunic (Song For Karen)" have become classics of truly alternative rock, which avoids simplism and demagoguery and whose roots are to be found as much in Richard Hell or the Sonics as in James Blood Ulmer or Glenn Branca. --Hubert Deshouse Product description Sensational major label debut album from 1990 featuring "Kool Thing", "My Friend Goo" and "Dirty Boots".
