This story presents the incredible tale of Jequitiba, a thousand-year-old tree living in the Brazilian forest. After surviving many hardships, it is once again under threat. Something must be done! A young boy, a rooster, some hens, and a horse join forces. Through illustrations that pay tribute to the beauty of the giant tree and the lush jungle, the story of its rescue is told to children. The songs that accompany the book, tinged with Brazilian sounds, provide the rhythm for the courageous companions' quest. Deep in the forest, hope blossoms!
