Details: Irena, an immigrant from Ukraine, flees the life of sexual slavery to which her human traffickers had reduced her and goes to blend into the anonymity of a large Italian city. Curiously well-off financially, the young woman rents an apartment located across from the one where the Adachers live, a family of jewelers mysteriously linked to her past. In order to get closer to them, Irena gets herself hired as the concierge in their building, then, after secretly causing the maid's accident, manages to replace her. Little by little, the young infiltrator develops very strong bonds with little Tea, the Adachers' only daughter. Just as the child's mother attempts to unravel the mystery of Irena, the latter's pimp reappears.
