Details: When a medieval knight and his squire travel ten centuries into the future and find themselves in our time, they get the shock of their lives! And when they also run into their distant descendants, one can only imagine the generation gap that separates them! Everything was going well for the valiant knight Godefroy de Montmirail (Jean Reno) in 1122; he had just been named lord and was preparing to marry the beautiful Frénégonde (Valérie Lemercier), an honor that also reflected on his squire Jacquouille (Christian Clavier). But a spell casts master and servant a thousand years into the future. So much to discover in 1992: running water, democracy, cleanliness, modern sexuality... Godefroy meets his distant descendant, Béatrice (Lemercier in a double role), while Jacquouille discovers that the last of his lineage, Jacquart (Clavier again), owns the ancestral castle, which has become a luxury inn. Godefroy must return to his own time at all costs so that his destiny can be fulfilled.
