Details: Two sisters who are complete opposites. Josephine, 40, a historian specializing in the 12th century, faces the difficulties of life; and Iris, outrageously beautiful, leading the life of an affluent and superficial Parisian. One evening, during a fancy dinner party, Iris boasts that she is writing a novel. Trapped by her lie, she convinces her sister, who has been abandoned by her husband and is drowning in debt, to write the novel that Iris will sign, leaving her the money. The success of the book will change their relationship forever and radically transform their lives. When her chronically unemployed husband runs off to start a crocodile farm in Kenya with his mistress, Josephine struggles to make ends meet. But then her charismatic sister Iris lands a lucrative publishing deal and offers Josephine a deal of her own: Josephine will write the novel and pocket all the proceeds, but the book will be published under Iris’s name. All is well - until the book becomes the literary sensation of the season.
