Details: In Le Point sur Robert, Fabrice Luchini arrives on stage with his arms full of books by Molière, Flaubert, Rimbaud, Roland Barthes, and Paul Valéry. The prose of some and the poetry of others sit side-by-side with the actor-author's own words as he shares his stories and confidences, transforming a public reading into a bookish one-man show through the magic of ironic language and joyful verve. Much like the man who partly created it and has carried it single-handedly—or rather, single-tonguedly—for two years, Le Point sur Robert proves to be a true phenomenon that draws on literature, humor, theater, improvisation, and surrealist experience.
