Details: Product Description This highly awaited second album displays Matt at his best. Adding Bossa Nova, Hip hop and 2-Step influences to his trademark R'N'B, he still keeps his lyrics full of 'Street Cred' thanks in part to cameos by rappers Lord Kossity, III, Le K-Fear and Fredo from 'La Brigade'. This album also boasts down tempo pieces 'a la' R-Kelly or Blackstreet to appeal to female listeners. Amazon.ca Two years after the – largely unnoticed – release of a mediocre debut album, Matt Houston makes a fresh start with R'n'B 2 Rue. This highly anticipated new effort confirms the clear talent our man had already revealed on "12/0013", his catchy single sung in a duet with rapper Def Bond. A complete artist (singer-songwriter and producer), Matt took the time to create a record that is quite pleasant to listen to: the bossa, electro and hip-hop influences are remarkably mastered, and the inevitable slow-tempos (a mandatory requirement for any self-respecting R'n'B artist) stand up to comparison with the best American productions. A promising album. --Amon
