Details: The man with the velvet voice continues his brilliant career, which began in 1981 and has been punctuated by numerous hits that left their mark on the 80s as much as the 90s. Now embracing the ambiguity of his persona, Daho continues to seduce and charm his audience with the modesty and delicacy that have always characterized him and give him that devastating sensuality. For Réévolution, Daho sparked his inspiration by defying time in an endless journey between Spain, Morocco, London, and Paris. Along the line of his voice, he seeks the breaking point of the note, the one that will set every word ablaze. He works them in hand-to-hand combat, like a painter who, facing his canvas, transforms into a passionate matador. And it is with the musicians from his last tour that Étienne recorded the 12 songs that make up his new opus in Paris. Furthermore, two prestigious guests are to be credited for this 9th studio album: Marianne Faithfull, for a reading of a text by her great-uncle "Venus in Furs" on the song "Le Liens d’Eros", and Charlotte Gainsbourg, who creates a surprise by coming to sing in a duet with Étienne on the track "If", one of the highlights of this Réévolution. --Luc Demont
