Details: Amazon.ca Deee-Lite only enchanted dance floors and private parties for a few all-too-brief years, infusing their festive anthems with a touching fascination for the sonic and visual trappings inherited from psychedelia, a solid knowledge and practice of the most classic funk, as well as avant-garde and technological temptations that allowed them to seduce the general public, frenzied clubbers, and electronic music specialists alike. Sampladelic Relics & Dance Floor, as its convoluted title suggests, is a collection of rare tracks and adventurous remixes, all reworkings of the raw material from the New York trio (though no less Japanese or Russian, for that matter) intended to provide dance floors with enough to satisfy their patrons' unquenchable thirst for hits capable of making them lose a few liters of sweat. --Jean-Éric Perrin
