Details: Product Description Les Vendredis Amazon.ca On Fridays, Stefie Shock has to put on chic and extravagant clothes, wear sunglasses and pointy shoes, and go dancing in a club. That’s how we imagine him, a bit of a dandy, a bit of a show-off, while listening to Les Vendredis, the third album from the most stylish of Quebec singers. There is a profound gaiety in these 10 new songs. There are sadder nights and hopes that are reborn. There are girls looking for boys and boys caressing girls. There are races, breakups, outbursts, departures, returns, love, the groove, a bit of reggae, lots of guitars, but also trumpets that own themselves. Just as the character owns himself. Under a solid pen, we can divine the benevolent cynicism of a man in search of meaning, and of a musician whose tone is more assertive than ever. -- Pascale Millot
