Details: Winner of several major international film awards including awards at the Paris and Venice Film Festivals, Thomas In Love was a surprise hit in theaters across the country in 2001. Sexy, smart, and suspenseful, this clever comedy is laced with sensuality from the opening frame-the perfect art house date movie with a little bit of science fiction in for good measure. ----- Thomas (Benoît Verhaert), a 32-year-old young man, suffers from acute agoraphobia. For eight years, he has lived as a recluse in his home, seeing people only through his computer. He has entrusted the management of his life to Globale, an insurance company that oversees his material and mental well-being. It is happiness, or almost. But Thomas is alone. Clara, his virtual partner, is no longer enough for him. His insurer (Alexandre von Sivers) informs him that he is entitled to the services of a prostitution agency for the disabled. At the same time, to shake things up, his psychiatrist (Frédéric Topart) signs him up against his will for an online dating club.
